Who it's for: Concealed carriers prioritizing deep concealment and genuine pocket carry over micro-9mm power; recoil-sensitive shooters; those seeking a lightweight backup gun with surprising shootability.

- .380 ACP ballistics require quality defensive ammo (Liberty Civil Defense, Underwood, etc.) to be reliable

- Not optics-ready from factory; red dot mount plates add cost and require dovetail replacement
- Compact sight radius limits ranged precision; best suited for defensive distances under 25 yards
- Small grip may feel cramped for larger hands despite extended magazine pinky extension
What to look for
- Two variants: Standard (NTS, no thumb safety) and TS (thumb safety). Choose NTS for fastest access; TS for extra safety control if transitioning from 1911-style guns.
- Performance Center Carry Comp variant adds barrel porting for recoil reduction but requires light-bearing holster compatibility—verify before buying.
- Magazine compatibility: 10-round and 12-round OEM mags are generation-specific; original Bodyguard.380 mags do NOT fit 2.0.
- Holster fit is critical: Micro-compact dimensions mean many 'universal' holsters don't conceal or retain well. Use brand-specific (Vedder, Alien Gear, DeSantis, Craft, Four Brothers).
